Putting the Pro in Proliferate: A Scars PTQ Top 8
This past weekend Matt, Kurtis, and I headed to Indianapolis to play in a Scars sealed PTQ. Two of us Top 8'd , while Kurtis finished a bit out of the money. Matt and I had very different pools and strategies that got us through the swiss, so I felt it worthwhile to write about my experiences. Enjoy!
Going for a Tumble: A Scars PTQ Top 8
After a dissapointing finish in Toronto, Kai, Kurtis, and I decided to drive down to Indianapolis for a chance to redeem ourselves at a PTQ.

Kelley's guide on how to top 4 FNM having never played the set!
I had not been able to play Scars up to Friday because I had to work the last two weekends. Usually I will attend the Fat Pack Battle, Prerelease, and Release events, but this time it just didn't work. I didn't even get to pick up my preordered boxes until Friday.
So basically I had no freaking clue what I was going to do. I knew that the planeswalkers were good, Ratchet Bomb, most of the mythics, etc, but I had no idea what commons or uncommons were good at all.

A PTQ Top 4... and More!
Today, I talk a bit about what Scars limited has to offer, both in terms of sealed and in terms of drafting, and featuring examples from this weekend's past PTQ in Detroit. With the limited PTQ season in full swing and two limited GPs coming up, this may be the most (or only) relevant article I ever write!

8 Reasons to be Attacking in Scars Draft
So you're playing in a PTQ this season, and you made top 8 on the back of a busted sealed pool with plenty of removal and every bomb imaginable. You're pumped, thinking you should have a good shot of winning a free trip to Paris and the PT invite.
Wait, now you have to draft? Hmm, guess all those bombs aren't going to help you anymore. I guess you have to learn how to compete with fair cards.

Dr. Jaeckel and Mr. Hyde: Prerelease Spectacular
Scars of Mirrodin is a pretty exciting set for limited play. Since the next PTQ season will be Scars sealed, it will be important for anyone planning to play PTQ's or GP's to become acquainted with the nuisances of the format. Alex Jaeckel brings you his Prerelease report to help you improve your game!

AJ's Scars Sealed Pool
This past weekend Alex Jaeckel piloted his Scars sealed pool to a 9-1-1 record at the prerelease before splitting the finals. Check out his pool below post your own build in the comments! His feature article on his prerelease experience and sealed build will be up within the week.

Scars of Mirrodin Prerelease
This weekend was the Scars of Mirrodin Prerelease. I played in the Saturday main event at Get Your Game Onto a 4-3 record. While I didn't do particularly well but I did learn some important things about the format in preparation for the PTQ and GP season. Hopefully reading this article will keep the scarring to a minimum in the future!
Scars of Mirrodin: A Comprehensive Legacy Set Review
Sorry to have fewer updates than normal for the last couple weeks, I have moved from my hometown to the great city of Ann Arbor, pushed out a big release for a project that I've been working on, and have been playing too much Ascension. But we have a new set, and that means a set review!
Again, I will try to highlight the cards that actually pique my interest, and should you want to skip the comments on chaff, just look for the cards that stand out.
Remember, this will be taken in the context of Legacy.

Scars Spoilers: Part 1
While less than a third of the non-land cards in Scars have been spoiled at the time of writing this, many of them are certainly very powerful, and with the current standard format on the decline its time to start looking forward.
