Scars Spoilers: Part 2

The full spoiler is now out, and if you haven't taken a look I'd encourage you to check it out either at the official wizards page or at mtgsalvation.
Plenty of interesting cards to look at, so lets go down the list.

Auriok Edgewright: Its a bear that gets Doublestrike if you have 3 artifacts. Given that white weenie decks are already equipment based with Stoneforge Mystic, its not a stretch to say this guy will be strong there.

Glimmerpoint Stag: Flickerwisp is certainly better since it costs less and flies, but this guy is still capable of the same tricks

Glint Hawk: The 2/2 flier for 1 is good by itself, but getting to re-set certain artifacts is an added bonus

Riddlesmith: Both a looter that doesn't tap and a 2 power guy

Shape Anew: Polymorph for artifacts is tougher to build your deck around then polymorph itself, since you can't abuse token producers in the same way. However, with a way to stack your deck, the effect is still extremely powerful

Carnifex Demon: One of these guys by itself is strong, but with 2 out you can essentially go infinite, basically resulting in 10 flying power plus a pestilence.

Galvanic Blast: It might not be Lightning Bolt, but much like burst lightning, the improved shock is definitely playable in burn

Tunnel Ingus: While this card is obviously strong against the ramp decks that have been popping up since M11, it also gets some pretty good value vs. fetchlands. The guy really only has to trigger once to be worth it, and should see play in standard.

Genesis Wave: While I'm not entirely sold on wanting to spend 8 or 9 mana to not be 100% to win the game on the spot, I'll admit that in standard you should be able to play this card for 5 or more and end the game. In addition, having this with and powerful landfall guy is pretty insane

Darksteel Axe: Its basically an indestructible trusty machete, and I'm a fan of that one

Grafted Exoskeleton: Not entirely sure what the best way to abuse this is yet, but it seems possible

Lux Cannon: If proliferating is going to be good, it will be because of this

Molten-Tail Masticore: Is a colorless answer to issues certain colors might have, whether that be giving burn to blue decks or killing Kor Firewalkers for red decks

Precursor Golem: As vulnerable as this guy is to a bolt, its 9 power for 5 mana. Vines of the Vastwood is also a legitimate trick

Ratchet Bomb: Tick Tock on the clock

The Dual Lands: Better in an aggro deck, worse in a control deck that the core set duals. They have to be one of your first 3 lands in order to come in untapped, so in decks with a low curve they're strong. Overall, I'd consider them one of the weaker cycles of rare lands

There you have it. I don't really see much value in doing a full set review, since every time you have to mention all the cards that are purely for limited (though there are plenty of puns one could make).
Tune in next time for some decklists for the upcoming standard, and remember to not be a bitch.

Glint Hawks. Another strong addition to team hawks.
