While I didn't win last weekend's Standard Singleton PE to due a myriad of misplays during my Top 4 match against monored, I did learn a lot about the format and where to make advances in the coming tournaments. As SS isn't as popular as it should be, I will be talking about general deckbuilding and evolution as well, to broaden the usefulness of this article.

Chen_Chen_CHN was Poisoned!!! A look into Scars Block Constructed
Block Constructed is one of the easiest ways to make profit on Magic Online. The startup costs are typically low, since there are no Jaces, Primeval Titans, or other cards close to that price in the format. In fact, the deck I'm going to advocate costs a total of around 20 tickets.

An Introspective
I spend a lot of time thinking.
Someone could even argue that my geometry teacher, Mrs. Richards, from middle school was right. The quote that often goes through my mind is "Someday, someone will pay you to sit in a room and think." While I also spend a lot of time working (computer programming often requires a lot of thinking as well), I spend a lot of time thinking about Magic.

Putting the Pro in Proliferate: A Scars PTQ Top 8
This past weekend Matt, Kurtis, and I headed to Indianapolis to play in a Scars sealed PTQ. Two of us Top 8'd , while Kurtis finished a bit out of the money. Matt and I had very different pools and strategies that got us through the swiss, so I felt it worthwhile to write about my experiences. Enjoy!
